Ok, ok, Pitchfork, I get it...you don't like the Mars Volta. Really, it took a shitty review of a band I love for me to realize that the guys over there are a bunch of assholes. But that's why I love Pitchfork so much; us music snobs have to stick together. When I think about it, too, it really isn't that bad. They gave De-loused a 4.something, and Frances The Mute admittedly isn't as good, so by Pitchforkmath, the 2.0 is justified. I guess.
For consolation, Steve Vai says that De-loused is his #1 essential guitar virtuoso album. It's in the new issue of Guitar World, along with a hilarious interview of the guitar Jesus himself. Fwee...
